Nocton Fen Wind Farm - Marianne Overton MBE

Nocton Turbines and July 26th event

The following email was received from Marianne yesterday:

"Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Two quick items:

1.  Vattenfall are about to close their statutory consultation period on their 20 500ft turbines in our area  They have all of the documents and a longish form on their website, http://corporate.vattenfall.co.uk/projects/wind-energy-projects/nocton-fen-lincolnshire/.

It is probably easier to drop them a quick note and copy me in, to give your opinion, just so they cannot say no-one was interested!  noctonfen@vattenfall.co.uk.  They do not have to make these comments known.

Planning looks for comments on the size and scale in the flat open landscape, effect on the character of the landscape, effect on views of heritage sites such as the Cathedral,  effect on aircraft close to Waddington, effect on wildlife, access roads and accessory development. The District Council is replying to the environmental statement using support from a professional consultant.

The main consultation will be later this year, so please keep a copy and copying me in would be much appreciated! I will, of course, keep you informed.

There is also a good piece on the Nocton blog, thanks Geoff.

2. Nocton village dog show and craft fayre is on Sunday 26th July 12-3. Refreshments, BBQ, bouncy castle etc all there too.

I look forward to seeing you soon.

Kind Regards,

Marianne"

Hi Geoff, I sent an email to Vattenfall, as suggested by Marianne Overton in her article, and it has twice failed to go through (to noctonfen@vattenfall.co.uk)Has anyone else found a similar problem? I want to make sure my opposition goes through whether they publish comments or not!

  2. Hi Jonathan, I do seem to remember another person saying they had encountered a similar problem. I used their electronic form to provide feedback and my comments seemed to go through OK. You might like to use this if you are still having difficulties: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NoctonFenStatConFeedbackForm
    Regards, Geoff
